This week, on ‘The Pasture’s Podcast’ for Advent:
Jesus told her about heavenly water and said it’s just for her. It can’t be bought or earned. It’s given by the Ladle of Grace. Once offered, though, Truth kicked in:
“But you have to tell the truth about yourself.”
Don’t you love how Jesus doesn’t rub her nose in it, belabor the point, or look down His high and mighty nose at her?!?
She confesses.
He nods.
Tells her “you’re right.”
And yet…she doesn’t feel condemned – though she might have suffered a pang of shame and self-guilt – but Jesus quickly segues to:
“so what are we going to do about it?”
