I once heard Bruce Wilkinson tell a group of teachers, “If your students are failing your class, it’s your fault.” Sounds a tad harsh, I know, and probably not warranted in every instance (or is it?), but when you run it through the grid of these quotes you might be challenged to approach teaching differently.

How could you not?

I mean, if you don’t see teaching’s higher purpose, it may be time to look for another profession.

“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.”
― William Arthur Ward

Heres a thought: come Sunday, or come Monday, aim for the moon. Get up in front of your charges and let your words and passion shake some shoulders, massage some flatlined hearts to life, and challenge somebody to go out and change their world by changing theirs.
